Mexico bans Round-up and GMO corn

This is a great first step!

Mexican president, Andrés Manuel López,  has issued a decree that will phase out the use of glyphosate and GMO corn by 2024. This will help small farmers while protecting the native varieties of corn seed stock. As maize was first domesticated in southern Mexico 10,000 years ago, it is important to protect the genetic profile of traditional varieties of Mexican corn.
