Part three of a series of posts based on a interview last August with Wayne Roberts, In this one I discuss the fact that everything is linked. People are food insecure, suffering from diet-related chronic illness, dying from foodborne illness, while farmers get subsidies for growing corn and soy. What and how we produce food is the cause of our health and hunger crisis and we need to start thinking of food as a public health issue and centering a science-based food and nutrition policy.Â
