Randall Foods, Inc. of Cincinnati, Ohio is recalling all 1.6 million cases of its Randall-brand beans because of manufacturing deviation, which included a nonfunctioning temperature indicating device raising the possibility that the product was not effectively processed. Processing at temperatures below a required temperature could create a condition that could lead to premature spoilage or food borne illness. No illnesses have been reported. The company is issuing this voluntary recall as a precaution. Find out more about this outbreak and which beans are affected here. I am trying hard to keep a straight face when I read Randall’s tagline “The Best Cooks Begin with the Best Beans.”
